Summer Solstice Drumming Circle on the Butte

Join AK Namaste and Georgia Barkwood for a collaborate drumming circle event. Research shows that the physical transmission of rhythmic energy to the brain actually synchronizes the left and right hemispheres. Let’s balance and shift the energy on Solstice Day.

ABOUT GEORGIA: Georgia is a tutor advisor with the MSBSD, APU camp instructor, longtime student of yoga, practitioner of Myofascial Massage, Reiki energy worker, and La Stone Ceremony. She has lived in Alaska for 15 years and loves creating community. In winter she hosts our town’s Jolabokabuchaflod. In summer, the energy flows from nature, to gather the community in sharing space and energy on the solstice.

Georgia is a recent graduate of Percussion in the Valley’s Djembe drum class. She seeks to find opportunities for drum circles. Solsitice on the Butte is the perfect opportunity to gather. Drumming is Georgia’s passion and she looks forward to celebrating nature’s cycles with sound!

WHO IS THIS FOR: Anyone who would like to celebrate this seasonal event.

REGISTRATION: No registration required. All our invited. A bucket and a wooden spoon are great drumming tools.
